My name is Raul Diaz, and I’ve been passionate about grappling since my first taste of wrestling back in 2008 as a high school sophomore. That early experience, along with watching the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, sparked a lifelong interest in martial arts and led me to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I started training Jiu-Jitsu at 17 years old at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu San Francisco under Denny Prokopos, where I spent five years developing my foundation and earned my purple belt. I then trained at Bay Jiu-Jitsu for another five years, where I earned my brown belt and began teaching classes.

In 2019, I was promoted to black belt by Travis Magalit. From that point on, I continued both training and teaching at Magalit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, sharpening my skills and gaining experience as an instructor until I opened my own school.

Over the years, Jiu-Jitsu has become more than just a sport to me—it’s a way of life. My goal now is to build a strong No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu community that trains hard but remains safe, respectful, and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. Whether you're stepping on the mats for the first time or you're a seasoned grappler, you'll find a place here to grow, learn, and push yourself.
